Rural areas are undergoing profound transformation due to migration and are at the forefront of climate change. SpaceMatters is working with grassroots organisations to provide habitat solutions in rural settings. 

We are partnering with Alaap on Champavat Moolvan, their pilot native afforestation project with the District Administration of Champavat and the local community. SpaceMatters is providing research and planning guidelines for transforming the 6 acres barren  into native forests to complement Alaap's work in implementing the Miyawaki forestry method through community mobilization and eco-leadership training.
